Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS: Compact Powerhouse with Sharpness and Fast AF

Experience Unmatched Sharpness in a Portable Package

Introducing Sigma’s smallest mirrorless ultra-telephoto zoom lens, the Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS. Combining professional-grade optical performance and exceptional functionality in a lightweight, compact body, this lens is perfect for both dedicated field photography and casual shooting. Weighing less than 1.2kg, it offers remarkable versatility for capturing fast-action sports, wildlife, motorsports, telephoto landscapes, pet photography, and even macro-style close-ups with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:4.1.

Optical Excellence Across the Zoom Range

The Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS delivers outstanding sharpness throughout its zoom range, thanks to one FLD and four SLD elements that minimize aberrations. Whether you’re shooting at 100mm or 400mm, expect pristine image quality with fine detail and vivid colours.

Superior Build Quality and Innovative Features

Constructed with Thermally Stable Composite (TSC), the lens barrel maintains consistent performance across varying temperatures, matching the metal interiors expansion rate. This material is not only lightweight and robust but also provides a sleek, premium finish.

Key features include:

• Dual Action Zoom: Choose between precise control with the zoom ring or quick adjustments by pushing/pulling the lens barrel.
• Optical Stabilizer: The intelligent two-mode stabilizer reduces camera shake, allowing for sharp images at slower shutter speeds.
• Customisable Controls: An AF/MF switch, an AFL button, and a focus limiter switch provide flexibility and enhanced functionality.
• Dust and Splash-Proof Mount: A durable brass mount with a rubber seal ensures reliable performance in various shooting conditions.

Perfect for Hand-Held and Tripod Use

At only 1,135g, this lens is light enough for extended hand-held use. For tripod users, a removable rubberised ring on the barrel allows the attachment of a tripod collar (available separately), offering a more stable setup for those long shoots.

High-Performance Optics for Professional Results

Despite its compact size, the lens boasts an advanced optical design with 22 elements in 16 groups, including four SLD and one FLD element. These components ensure high-resolution performance across the frame, eliminating chromatic aberration, flare, distortion, and vignetting. Special optical coatings reduce flare and ghosting, even in bright sunlight, delivering high-contrast images with deep blacks and vibrant colours.

Ideal for Landscape Photography

Landscape photographers will appreciate the portability and image quality of the Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS. Its ability to isolate small vignettes within a scene and compress perspectives makes it a favourite for capturing the beauty of the outdoors.
